Independent network testing company RootMetrics® has today revealed the results of its network performance testing in London – and they clearly show EE is streets ahead of the competition when it comes to keeping the UK’s biggest and most densely-populated city connected. The EE network out-performed Three, Vodafone and O2 right across the board.
Mirroring the findings from previous surveys in Hull and Manchester, the EE network again took the top RootScore Award – Combined, for overall network performance and in the Mobile Internet category.
The download and upload speeds the EE network is capable of left the competition lagging. At 13.6Mbps and 8.4Mbps respectively, they’re more than twice as fast as what Three can offer, with Vodafone and O2 trailing even further behind.
The EE network also took top score in the Text and Call categories.
Fotis Karonis, Chief Technology Officer at EE said: “I’m really proud of these results. To score the best network performance results in our capital city is a great achievement. London is home to more than 10 million people and a huge percentage of our customer base – both consumers and businesses. I want to thank my team and the rest of the business for the hard work and determination they continue to show every single day as we continue to develop our network, making it the biggest and fastest in the UK, with the best performance results.”
